We are all made up of the same stuff…humans…animals…bugs…trees…we are all part of a universal oneness. We are all the same, we are all united, we are all one.
As part of the “one” , we each have our own unique path, our own destiny – something meant just for us. I have found this concept to be a struggle at many times in my life, especially when I was taught that the “squeaky wheel gets the grease” or that “we must demand what is ours”. The idea of destiny or even patience for that matter seemed unrealistic and lazy.
But this has all changed for me. My journey inward has taught me that everything we need is already within us, we just forgot…we lost our way. Our path, our very purpose, can only be revealed when we give ourselves the space to receive. Pushing, demanding and taking will only take us further of course.
One of my teachers recently said that we are trees. We all have the opportunity for new life, new beginnings, but we don’t always give ourselves the space for it to be realized. A tree loses its leaves and goes into a dormant state. It doesn’t push, demand or take…it waits, patiently and in the space of letting go, it receives new life.
Let’s be trees.
