This specialty workshop is offered each season.
Chakra Bhedana Meditation, 2020 dates TBD
Yoga is a process of self discovery, not only in the physical sense of coming into and feeling our bodies but in the sense of discovering our self. Anahata Chakra, our heart center, is the integrator and energetic center of the Chakra system. Working with Anahata is an invitation to heal and come back to wholeness. Chakra Bhedana is an opportunity to embody the Chakras, ascending the current of liberation connecting with our infinite potential and drawing this reconnection and remembrance back home to our heart. This class will include Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath work), Chakra Bhedana and Savasana. Students will be introduced to Bija Mantras (chakra seed sounds), Yantra (visualization of archetypal shapes) and Mudras (hand gestures to seal energy).
Yoga Nidra, 2020 Dates TBD
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep, is a guided, resting meditation allowing you the opportunity to connect with yourself, deeply relax, and reduce stress and anxiety. Yoga Nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions. Research has shown that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep. The entire practice is guided while lying comfortably in Savasana. This is a wonderful opportunity to commit to 1 hour of mediation and deep relaxation.
