Yoga Nidra, Fridays September 13, October 11, November 12:05-1:05 pm
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep, is a guided, resting meditation allowing you the opportunity to connect with yourself, deeply relax, and reduce stress and anxiety. Yoga Nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions. Research has shown that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep. The entire practice is guided while lying comfortably in Savasana. This is a wonderful opportunity to commit to 1 hour of mediation and deep relaxation each month. This class is open to all, but pre-registration is appreciated to ensure a minimum attendance is met. Hogan Sports Center, New London $10 payable directly to Danielle Thomas.

Concluding with Yoga Nidra (resting meditation) an opportunity to deeply connect with yourself, explore what you need in the moment and release long-held emotions. In our yoga classes we don’t always have the time to breakdown each pose, ask questions or experiment with variations of poses that we’ve always wanted to try. In this workshop we will explore classical Sun Salutations, one posture at a time, offering general alignment as well as cues to fine-tune the posture to your body. We will also explore creative variations of Sun Salutations, using your direct experience to tune in to your unique expression. This is a wonderful opportunity for Svadhyaya (self-study) of your alignment, breath, body awareness, subtle energy body and mindfulness. The workshop will conclude with a guided relaxation and resting meditation. Accessible to all levels. Evergreen Healing Arts, 11 West Main Street, Bradford. $20 Drop-in, $15 Pre-Register
Chakra Bhedana Meditation Experience
January 2019 Date TBD
Vedic culture describes an unbound, infinite intelligence that gives rise to all that is – an ocean of universal consciousness (unbound, infinite potential). Tantra is the weaving of this universal consciousness back onto our living. Chakra Bhedana Meditation is an opportunity to embody the Chakras, reconnecting to the ocean from which we came and bringing this reconnection and remembrance back into our lives. This class will include 15-20 minutes of postures (asana), 5 minutes of breath work (pranayama), 25-30 minutes of Chakra Bhedhana Meditation, and conclude with 10-15 minutes of guided relaxation and Savasana. Students will be introduced to Bija Mantras (chakra seed sounds), Yantra (visualization of archetypal shapes) and Mudra (hand gestures to seal energy). No experience necessary, accessible to most. Evergreen Healing Arts, 11 West Main Street, Bradford.
